We have a number of society projects underway. Some can take several years to complete the research but updates are posted on the pages below.
Information on the survey and later work to determine if any trace of the Anglo-Saxon monastery complex that preceded the later Norman buildings survive.
The medieval library in Malmesbury once held many precious manuscripts. Over 30 are known to exist in different libraries around the world today and roughly half have been digitised.
Although Malmesbury has much of its historic fabric still standing there are some structures or features that are no longer with us. The research below records what has been lost.
